What Are the Differences Between Access Control Devices?
In daily life, access control gates can be seen everywhere, such as at factory entrances, residential communities, hotel corridors, and most commonly at metro station entrances and exits.
Many other venues also use intelligent access control systems for management. Among so many types of access control devices, do you know what differences they have?
Let’s take a look together with Goosafe Machinery to understand the features of these access control gates.
First, let’s understand what an intelligent flap barrier is and how it achieves intelligent management.
The flap barrier comes in various elegant designs and shapes, and the materials used also differ. Common materials include 204 stainless steel and 304 stainless steel, with 304 stainless steel being the standard option.
The structure of the flap barrier consists of a cabinet, mechanism, military-grade encoder, infrared detection sensors, controller, and other software components.
It can also be expanded with various applications according to user needs, such as fingerprint access control, facial recognition, palm recognition, and QR code identification.
Its intelligent and user-friendly design is reflected in its dual infrared and mechanical anti-pinch function. When a pedestrian is detected in the passage, the retractable wings will not close. Once the person leaves, the wings automatically close. During the closing process, if the wings encounter an obstacle, they will automatically rebound or stop within a set time, applying minimal force while triggering an audible and visual alarm.
The speed gate, also known as a swing barrier gate, manages personnel entry and exit by swinging open and closed.
The speed gate not only has all the features of the flap barrier but also enhances some of its own characteristics.
Features of the speed gate include:
- The gate opening and closing time can be as fast as 0.2 seconds. The faster the speed, the higher the throughput. This timing can be adjusted according to the user’s site requirements.
- The swing panels of the speed gate are made of 10mm thick tempered glass, offering an elegant appearance while ensuring smooth and ultra-quiet operation.
